Paavakka Chaar CurryBitter Guard Curry
Ingredients1.Bitter guard - 1 2.Grated coconut – ½ Coconut 3.Small onion- 10 number 4.Green chillies- 4 5.Curry leaves- 1 Strip 6.Ginger- Small piece 7.Red chilli powder- 1/2 teaspoon 8.Pepper powder- ¼ teaspoon 9.Coriander powder- 1 teaspoon 10.Turmeric powder- ¼ teaspoon 11.Cooking oil-2 table spoon 12.Mustard – 1 teaspoon 13.Methi seed-1 teaspoon PreparationClean and cut the Bitter Guard into small pieces.Take "Thala paal" and "Eda Paal", the first and second milk squeezed from grated coconut. Cook the Bitter Guard with "Eda Paal",3,4,6,7,8,9,10. When cooked add Thala Paal and bring to boil. Add 12 and 13 to hot oil on another pan, then add some onion, ginger and curry leaves. When it turns golden brown add to the cooked Bitter Guard. NotesBiiter Guard, "Paavakka" or "Kaypakka" in Malayalam and "Karela" in Hindi |
